The X2 XDS95 24-Bit Digital Instrument Wireless System is a breakthrough in wireless sound and performance that's 2009 Compliant and features both an instrument input for guitar/bass and a microphone input on the transmitter that provides 9V DC bias power for lavalier or headworn microphones from various manufacturers including, Audio-Technica, Countryman, Shure, Sennheiser, Audix and others. The XDR4 receiver comes with an owners manual that includes a detailed wiring diagram and connector requirements.

Line 6 X2's proprietary digital technology provides superior fidelity while the XDS95's "stomp-box" style receiver houses a micro-processor that selects the digital data stream from among the four internally mounted Q-diversity™ antennas to eliminate dropouts and interference including DTV. You'll enjoy the sound and performance of a direct wire connection free from compander ICs — and the associated 'pumping' and 'breathing' — that squash your tone, as well as other problems associated with analog wireless technology.

This thang is sick. Really great and transparent sound unlike other wireless units. There aren't any annoying companders that squish your tone. I play bass weekly and would HIGHLY recommend this unit.

I'm a bass player and did a lot of research before I settled on the X2. It really paid off. I needed a good wireless that wouldn't lose any of the subtleties of my sound. This unit is a workhorse and when they tell you it's as clear and uncoloured as if your were using a cable, they aren't lying to you. I've used the thing for over a year and it's never failed me. I do suggest you don't settle for the cord that comes with the unit, though. The accompanying cord (which connects between the instrument and the transmitter)has a straight plug but you really want to either contact the company directly or see if Musicians Friend carries the right angle plug. Trust me, it's not expensive and will save you headaches down the road.
