This is my first wireless system. I've been on the fence about getting one for a while because the Shure system my bass player uses always gives him problems when he tries to set it up live..also kind of kills his tone a bit but i don't really have as much of a problem with that as the guitarist =). But I'm finding wires to be annoying on larger stages lately so I finally bought this unit after reading all the good reviews. It was very easy to set up and worked perfectly right out of the box. To my ear the tone was indistinguishable from when I'm using a wire. Even my 7 string came through clear as a bell. My only problems were that it was picking up noise from my TV when I tried it out in my house and the components do seem like they're pretty fragile. I wish it came with some sort of carrying case too. I'm really looking forward to using it live...I'll still have a wire as a back up though.

i love this product. worked perfect the first time i used it, actually i let the praise team leader use it at church. he came in from outside the theater playing it. my church is a revamped movie theater.Go Firehouse Ministries. but after that it kept trying to go into the other reciever mode, not the one it came with. had to turn it off,turn it on, turn it off turn it on , hold the over button turn it off turn it on, finnally it would sinc up, sometimes it didnt. but when it sincs up, it's blows shure wireless away. it hasnt give me trouble for a while now. i love it

Been using the xds plus for about 6 months now and i love it. No change in tone what-so-ever!! I've played many different venues using this and I have never had a problem with interference or drop outs. Battery life isn't bad, get yourself some 9v NIMH rechargeable batteries and they will last about 4 hours. No complaints at all.
