I score film among many other things. many of my friends that are professionals love these things as well as I. It all depends on your ear and what you like. I have to say I have had many monitors and I could hardly stand them for the reasons my head hurt after a short time. With these I can work all day with small breaks in between. These speakers dont lie i mix and master in them and when i go to my car or any other system what i did in the studio is what i get on the car stereo. you dont have to spend tons of money. You just have to know what your doing.

These are the worst monitors Ive owned. I bought them on a whim, thinking I was smart saving a couple hundred. Coming from a hr624 mk1 and then the hr824 mk1, I really wasn't prepared for this.

MAN! These things are absolutely terrible! Anyone that tells you otherwise is out of their brains crazy. The highs and bass on these are ridiculous, and mid range is almost non-existent.

Do not buy if you're serious about mixing. Period. These are tonka-toy speakers.

I just got these today for my Korg Triton Studio to replace my old 150W keyboard amp, and I have never hear my Triton sound so rich.

I have them connected to a Behringer mixer and they are incredibly great for the price. I read other reviews talking about how they don't have controls to adjust the volume/treble/bass but usually you have these connected to a mixer. No problem at all with the bass output it sounds very good without additional sub-woofer. They rock my room, and excellent output for those low freq notes.

I hooked up my Ibanez acoustic-electric guitar and the sound was very clean and good.
