At this price these speakers cannot be beat. I have been recording for over 3 years now, for a home studio spending above this price will only leave you unhappy. There is a limit to how clean your sound will be. These speakers are as good as your going to sound in a room worth less than 5000 dollars. Not to mention they sound exponentially better and are built to a much higher standard than the cheaper m-audio models(silk dome tweeters) very clear response and even better with the auralex pads! wish I would have bought the speakers from musicians friend and gotten myself a free pair of those instead of spending 30 bucks.

I got these monitors for Christmas and I love them. Don't sound any better or worse than expensive monitors. Loud, crystal clear sound quality for mixing as well as live playing (I've played my bass through them and it sounds as good as an amp).

The bass boost on these is no joke either! Without a sub woofer, these things will rattle the floor with drum kicks and heavy bass lines.

I just got these compact and portable studio monitors to use on my desktop at home for music production and recreation. The clarity is superb, and the deep rich sound you get from them is outstanding considering price and form factor. Definitely a must buy!

I use them for most everything, from mixing to producing to personal parties... ignore what someone before said about going out all of a sudden, I thought so and like also said before it was the cable. I even had them on and a storm hit us, power went out blowing a transformer and burning a lot of stuff. I tested these the day after and all perfect I made another small party and they were on all night no prob.
