When you own a Recording Studio You are always looking for good mics. I came across these and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Granted The first thing I did was change the stock tube out for some NOS 12at7's and once that is done you have yourself a really creamy Tube Condenser. I love to use two of them as Drum overheads, they really make the drum mix pop and now they are my mic of choice for that purpose. Do yourself a favor... get a couple. Change the tubes .. and I guarantee you will find some good use for them.

What a bargain for this great sounding mic. I was using a Neumann U-67 at my studio until it got stolen...........I needed a mic quick, got this one and boy was I surprised. This thing sounds great right out of the box........I replaced the tube with a 5751 and now it's creamier and more in your face. This mic is worth 5 times the money to me. It got me out of a jam and now I use it every day!!!!

I don't have much experience with condenser microphones and this is my fist one but so fay all my vocals recordings sound very good and I'm glad. Also recorded acoustic guitars and they sound great. Can't really compare to anything else but I even like the sound on my vocal recording better than some commercial records out there.
