I get a lot of interference in the middle of my recordings using this device. It will work great for the first minute or two when you are recording, then start to severely distort everything that comes out. It could be that the mic mate I got is faulty, I

The sound quality isn't horrible. I losened and tightened it ans it worked fine for recording. However, the volume is really low, but I don't have an issue with it because I use Audacity and I can change my vocal volume. overall this is good.

Hey in the beginning I thought it was a crappy interface with lots of distortion but is not. You get more than what you pay for, For Producing just don't be close to the mic (i use Rode NT1a) record at least 1 or 2 feet away from the mic and you'll have very good sound, the only reason why I wouldn't give a 5 out of 5 is because it needs a Microphone volume and phase switch software.

My first buy online ever, and let me start by commending this site on their quality. No problems with shipping. As far as the product, it does what it says, but the stronger the mic, the more distortion you will get, and at a lower sound quality. Nice for speaking, but not for producing.

for anyone that likes to record a live jam or even some vocal overs for a project...directly to your computer via the usb , things are still kind of limited... iam usin audacity, and have used it before with the blue snowball usb mic, and got pretty good recordings...i was told that this little gadget would provde phantom power and turn any regular mic into a powered usb mic...not so..there is no way to boost the sound input, and the recording quality was way too low...i even called mxl/marshall and they tried to help , but it just wasnt happening..i think i will try either that samson or the new snowflake...again , dont waste your time or money on this!!! lame lame lame!
