Great Mic

I've used this mic for a number of years now and have never been disappointed. I've used this mic on many instruments and vocals in many different genres. It provides a warmth and texture that's hard to find. My favorite use is to hang it upside down right over a very accurate mic like the Rode NT1A and mix the signals to get just the right sound.

I have 6 high end (nuemann, akg, etc) mics, and this is the best one, by far, when recording rappers. Smooth highs, and nice bass, it's well worth the cost...

i have had this mic for about 3 months now, and i have had to replace the shock mount 3 times. the nut snaps off without even attempting to twist it in a manner you could call rough. the microphone itself always receives feedback even when no amps are on. you can barely get the feedback to stop. the first week i had it , it performed beautifully. now it sucks

this quality blows.

This mic is an amazing microphone. I researched this mic before purchasing and found it worthy of purchase. I have used this mic mostly on vocals and it has been incredible. I just recently for fun tried it on my hi hats and man the real voicing and warmth was revealed. The entire brilliance and duplication of the kit was perfect. I did however change the tube in this mic from the MXL to a Mullard 12ax7. I would put this mic against mics costing five times as much. My rig is 2x's Fireface 800, Cubase 4, I also have Audix i5's x 4 and a D6, Rode NT1A and pacific by DW all birch fusion Kit, Fender Jazz Bass 5str Ibanez custom Jazz. I have a whole bunch of other stuff too. Get this Mic its worth every dime. Glod Bless
