Not pretty but....

Mackie's mixers are the toughest, most dependable on the market and very reasonably priced. The new Onyx "i" class mixers incorporate a firewire interface that was previously a $400+ add on. Great for recording your band live, or getting your songs into the computer...BUT...for goodness sake did that have to make it SOOOOO ugly. What's with the "bootheel" profile. Looks like an afterthough compared to the smooth flowing lines of previous Onyx mixers. Would it have really cost that much more to incorporate a more visually pleasing case that would also sit better on uneven surfaces???? Not very pretty...but very functional.
