however after prolonged use, these headphones are prone to failure. The screws/nuts holding the tempo adjustment knob as well as the volume adjustment knob comes loose easily causing unnecessary maintenance. Also, the gel pads are easy to puncture and will leak all over you.

Squeezes your head way too hard. Metronome slows down and speeds up. Sounds like everything is run through a gate and bass reduction filter. Tried to use them and returned them after a few days.

Short Term Pleasure

These things are nice when new. They provide excellent isolation, they're very comfortable and they sound pretty darn good. The problem is, the ear cushions are filled with a liquid that over time and even with gentle use will leak out. Eventually they'll become completely flat and very uncomfortable to wear. IF you're lucky enough to contact their support people, they'll tell you that this is common and expected to happen every few months.

With that said, I can't call this a product worth buying unless you're ok with the reocurring costs. Too bad...other than that, they're a great product.

Good - A while back!

I bought these metrophones about a year ago. They work well enough for most moderately serious drummers.

Pros: -Excellent noise isolation without blocking out all the highs only -Very easy to use click track no fumbling w/ buttons interfaces -Line in enables mp3 / ipod use with proper cable

Cons: -Clamp way too tight on your head. Extended use may hurt ears / ear canals -Too much sound dampening. I find myself putting the left earphone slightly off center from my ear to let the guitar amps come through clearer. -These things weigh way too much. I prefer my shure e2's

too pricey for what it is

Bought these in 2002 and at first enjoyed the convenience of having a click in my head. Over time they broke off my hairs at the temple, made my jaw really tight, and got more and more uncomfortable. The pair I bought I cannot plug into my iPod without an adapter. The click feels off sometimes. The price is not right.
