It's hard to tighten and the weight of the mics make it tip. The base should not pivot.

I was dissapointed with the adapter. The two outer mounts don't provide any adjustment for mic positioning. When the plastic holder is attached and tightened, you have to live with whatever position it ends up with. Also, I feel that the screw depth is to shallow to reliably hold the microphone holder. It will probably strip out the threads.
