If building a home studio and running low on cash you can't go wrong with the CM 90. I'm very pleased. I own two of them. I've used them for recording acoustic guitar and some stereo recording. Great overhead mics. Watch your gain (hot signal). The CM90 will be a great addition to anyones home studio. After all you can never have too many mics

I used this mic for acoustic guitar, and banjo miking. It works surprisingly well, and the sound is clear. It seems to have a pretty hot signal, so I had to watch the gain on it. I originally bought it for use on hi hats, but haven't had a chance to use it yet on them, as my overhead stereo mic captures them pretty well. It is a great little addition for a home studio situation.

I purchased a pair of these for one thing only.....drum overheads. I cannot speak for anything else, but for getting your cymbals out in the PA mix these are awesome. They are extremely sensitive (I run my input pad all the way down) and cut through wonderfully. You can't beat the performance for the money!

I manage a 1,000 seat venue and bought a couple of these for choral applications. I've since used them for live stereo recording and various other things. These are great little mics. For the price, they definitely can't be beat. I started with six and I'm now adding ten more. Maybe not the absolute best in the world, but definitely worth the money.

Nice price, great sound, no durability

I've used a pair of these in the studio for drum overheads and reinforcement for acoustic guitar and vocals, and in the live environment I've used them for stage miking of an elementary school play. The sound, for the most part, is fantastic, and they were sensitive and quiet enough to pick up conversations going on in my neighborhood if I turned up the gain enough. I was not blown away by the tone on up-close vocal miking, but for distance or overhead miking they sound phenomenal.

The major disappointment I had with them is that six months after the 1-year warranty expired, I started getting this horrible intermittent popping, rumbling, and whistling from them. Now I need to replace them, but for what I paid for them, I guess I've gotten my money's worth.
