Do not use for a measurement mic

I use a program called true rta to flatten my sound system when i play new venues.I recently loaned my audix tr40a to a friend who lost it. I saw this mic and the price was amazing, the frequency responses were nearly the same as my audix for a third of the price. the first time i used it was in a room i play all the time and have presets saved for that room i turned on the pink noise and it completely cut my lows boosted the highs and made the system sound like garbage. for measurement would recomend audix tr40a or dbx rta-m

When i found this mic, i was like, its just a budget condenser mic in my reach, but after i used it, the sound was so nice and it definitly picks up eveything. and i mean everything. I was recording and it pick'd up on my sisters talking upstairs. For the money, get it while it lasts.

I always had the impression that price was an indicator of quality. This has just blownn away that wrong impression. This mic should be sold for about $200 cause thats what it's worth. I use it with the art mic preamp. It is also excellent for omnidirectional applications. Just try it.............

I have owned this microphone for a while, and I do like it, but I noticed some odd characteristics in the sounds recorded off axis. For an omnidirectional microphone, it shouldn't matter, but as I started testing the mic, I have realized it is not an omnidirectional microphone. The signal is severely attenuated off axis, much more like a cardioid microphone. It is fine as a cardioid, but I would not use this in the same way as an omnidirectional microphone. It's a fine microphone, but it is not omnidirectional.

No more. Produces a clean reproduction of whatever's going on within your general vicinity..and then some. As a test of how accurately it could reproduce sound, I just let it record an MP3 song file from my laptop's speakers via a Behringer Xenyx1202 mixer into my laptop with the Audacity recording program. Apart from the volume differences that I didn't adjust correctly, it reproduced the sound beautifully along with the sound of the laptop hard drives slight clicky noises and other noises that a computer emits.

This is a steal of a mic. The only thing that would've made this better (for me at least) is if it was slightly thicker. This barely fits un-snuggly in my mic stand and I would've just preferred it being slightly more secured.
