The Nady PCS-8 Powered 2-way speaker has an internal amplifier in addition to the premium features of the popular M-Cab Series. This Nady PA speaker combines the convenience of an active speaker system with dependable performance and excellent affordability. 35W RMS energize the 8" LF driver and 5-1/2" x 8" compression horn.

The speaker enclosure is durable yet lightweight and made from molded, high-impact, mineral-loaded polypropylene designed to deflect bumps and scrapes and is perfectly balanced for easy portability and setup. The PSC-8 has built-in handles and a flexible design that makes it flyable, stackable, polemountable, or it can be used as a floor monitor when laid on its side with supplied brace mounts.

The easy-to-use built-in mixer has selectable XLR balanced mic/line inputs and mix output; treble, bass, and volume controls. Signal and clip LEDs keep you informed.

Other features on this powered speaker include an IEC power cord jack; 115V(60Hz) / 230V(50Hz) selection switch; low-impedance, electronically-compensated crossover (1/36 octave, 1500Hz); and full driver protection (pre-circuit limiter).

The Nady PSC-8 delivers a 80Hz to 20KHz frequency response.

What a Waste

My team bought this speaker and after two mild usages of it, it failed on us. After shipping it back and getting a new one, it did the same thing. These are the Yugo of the speaker world...you pay for what you get. And in this case you get nada from Nady.

I work for a church and we use one of these for spoken word amplification in our children's area. Although I have used it as a monitor wedge for a couple of instrumentalists in very low-key settings, I wouldn't consider using it in any serious mixing or monitoring environment.

I bought this refurbished as a monitor for my DJ sets in the club. It works great!...and the price really kicks butt. Don't expect this to be better than a studio monitor like the KRK or Mackie, but for the price, it's totally awesome.

I originally bought two PCS-8 for home studio monitors and for group practices. Just after the warranty ran out, one of them started sizzling and belching smoke. Shortly thereafter the other refused to power up at all. Junk.

I purchased this item as a personal monitor in studio. It did not provide quality sound from day one. Heavy treble tone I could not cut. The other day it would not power up, I replaced the fuse that was blown for no known reason. I heard a sizzling sound and smoke was rolling out of the speaker cone. The power light was still on, the fuse did not blow but it was doing the "007" electrically self destructing in 20 seconds. I unplugged it and ran it outside onto the lawn so as not to torch my house. Buy wisely.
