I was looking for a good value in a basic PA starter system for our garage band, and found it here. This system seems well built and sturdy enough to hold up to some abuse, it sounds good, and its not too expensive. Now, one 12" speaker and 130 watts is not going to blow the roof off the place, but it will amplify your vocals enough to hear them in the mix. Features (reverb, tone) are basic, but they work. If I need more sound later, I'll add another speaker. But for practice and fun this works!

I have been using the Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System for about 2 years now. it serves me very well for when i do my acoustic gigs at coffeeshops and small churches. actually, it really pulled through for me at a gig when i didnt have my guitar amp availible and did a great job keeping the tone on my Les Paul Standard Plain Top. the 6 channels come in very handy, espescially since i like to hook up my keyboard through it too. overall, its well worth the money and it hasnt had anything go bad on it in the two years i have owned it.

This is a great little PA for the money. I am an active musician and wanted a good little potable practice and small venue PA for acoustic gigs and this does the job just fine. And when you hook up another speaker to it it is plenty loud enough to play with a full band which we do and use it as our practice PA. over all it is well worth the money. it isn't the fanciest but seems to be well built and definitely gets the job done. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you are on a budget.

I am using Nady RPA-6 for a month now, 2 hours daily. I was watching this item for long time and bought it as soon as an attractive deal came up. Sound is good. I liked 6 channels, each with individual XLR and 1/4 inch inputs. I was first considering Roland but seeing these features in Nady RPA-6 and further feature of portability as well as frequency adjustment for individual channels, I bought it. When I changed from Carvin to Behringer microphone, I got better sound output. Cooling fan sound is irritating - Nady should have used quiet fan. Knobs can be shaken sideways as if loose, though they are actually not loose. Overall, I am happy with the product. I hope I will be able to use it trouble free for long time. Sound is good. I use it for vocal and keyboard inputs. I think it could be louder with 130 watts. I am going to try within 2 days in an indoor function in a larger room.

My impressions of the RPA6

Went bad on me within days of mild use. Probably a fluke but had time to evaluate it very well. Nice value, pretty heavy, amazing amount of PA for the money but made cheaply and the build in reverb is just a variable echo delay that can't be adjusted to sound right. Really bad reverb. The line inputs wont work with an instrument 1/4" line in even if you use a preamp like a Baggs PADI. It will accept cd players, keyboards in those inputs but not guitars, pickups, etc. Has very nice bass but the cheap horn gives it some weird frequency response in some cases. Overall this is well worth the money at the sale price but I decided to return it defective and get something a little nicer. This is a decent beginner poor person PA but it has shortcomings. The wheels and cheap plastic popup handle work pretty good for saving your back because it's a bulky 63 pounds soaking wet. The cab is build pretty well with metal grill. The output to a passive speaker is nice and so is the line out but getting those reversed could be easy. You also hear a cooling fan whirring when you turn it on. A usable reverb and better horn would make this impossible to beat for small acts.
