Spend a little more and just get the Peavey...

I used this at a band practice once, because I forgot my Peavey PVi2... bad mistake. It feels cheap because it is, and you'll hear it. My voice sounded like... mud. Unless you're super strapped for cash, I advise against buying this mic. Even then, saving up that extra 20-30 dollars will buy you something much more durable.

If you only see yourself having about $20 for your equipment budget in the next six months buy one of these, maybe two if you can pinch your pennies. If you want a microphone, save your money and buy something legit. These are nothing but trouble. They break incredibly easy, and make every sound, and every note, you speak or sing into them an utter torture upon the ears. Honestly it is hard to imagine a bigger waste of money than this microphone. I was 13 or 14 when I was ignorant enough to think I was actually getting a deal buying these, and looking back now I have nothing but shame for my choices. Avoid this mic at all costs.

Great mic at low price

I have had this mic for just shy of two weeks now and I have recorded a 350 watt stack, Djembie, Acoustic trios, bass cabs, and vocals. This mic is very versatile and sounds much better than it's price point. I have had 57s and I say this has as low, if not lower handling noise. I will be getting a few more of these, even if they last a year (feels like it'll last longer though) they pay for themselves compared to more expensive utility mics.

As a karaoke mic

Worked well and has a good full range sound. This mic has a small diameter and comes with a very small mic clip , will not fit standerd clip. It is quite difficult to get in and out of the clip. Perhaps a spring clip would be better for this one. Also if you buy the cheap-o $10.00 mic cord you should be handy with a solering iron.

Just a good work mic

I'm a pro-singer... long time, full-timer and have been using these mics for years. I've used a lot of good mics in my 40+ years on stage and think this is the best mic for the money (which they had these back in the '70s). The only drawback (for me) is no on-off switch... but I work around that. Mic is responsive and durable. Now if I could just find reliable cables I'd be all set!

Peace & harmony, Slick
