The one problem I had with mine was the clips that open & close the holder. One was bent down and resting on the frame, thus the mic was not free floating. A little tweak with the needle nose pliers fixed that tho.

The suspension is tight, but still has enough "give" to isolate the mic from the stand

Overall, this holder is doing fine, and is worth the $$ IMHO.
