Nice workhorse mike

This Mic is the SP-5 with a on-off switch added. The internal condenser is exactly the same. They are outstanding for the price. I've mic'd vocals and guitar amps live with them with good results. For the drums they seem a bit muddy, which You can fix in the recording studio but not so much live. Buy a bunch and leave them out for the thieves while you load out to keep them busy.

These mics are amazing. My brother got some and I have been using them quite often. Truthfully I wasn't expecting them to even work, but they do that and much more. They easily compare with the shure sm58's. the only problem; it is hard to plug them in, but that means that the pugs won't come out, and if your planning on micing a drumset with them, don't, they will not pick up the snare at all.

Great mic, I've used it for a number of gigs and thousands of practices, great response and durable to boot. One minor thing I need to point out, the mic is 50hz-12,000 khz, not 16k like it says, I have the manual that came with the mic right in front of me just to justify that.
