I have been using the eMagic EVP73 for quite some time now and it does an ok Fender Rhodes, but it doesn't quite sound as real as I would like it to be and it's a small program, so the sample isn't that high quality. Enter the Elektrik Piano. Dude, this thing kicks ass! Each particular note from each particular piano was sampled seperately and produces an exact reproduction of the original, and it's velocity sensitive and sounds great through a nice keyboard amp or speakers. If you want to get these sounds and you have a decent computer (because this one is a bit harder on the cpu than the previous NI products) it's such a good buy, especially over the Nord electro. I feel the Elektrik Piano has a better sound and is more realistic to that of a vintage piano than the Nord does, even though the Nord is quite nice as well. For the price though you really can't beat it - not for this quality. The samples are huge and the entire program is about 1.5GB, so you know you are getting a high quality sample at that size. Good job, NI. Once again I am using one of your fine products!
