The Numark PT-01USB turntable has a stereo 1/8" line input so you can connect other sound sources such as tape decks and convert your tapes to digital files too. RCA line outputs enable connection to your DJ system or home stereo so you can use the PT-01USB turntable as a standard record player. I've got the original Pt-01 Portable Numark which I love! I rave about it to all my friends!! Portable, battery capabilities, small, perfect! I even use it over my technics 1200 for sampling! When I heard they were making one that could burn vinyl, I jumped on the opportunity! I went to burn a brand new instrumental LP (Yancey Boys) and when I did so, it skipped on 2 songs and sounded unbalanced. I tried the same new record on my other PT-01 Numark and it didnt skip. So I "swapped" it for a new one. I just tried and it did it again, still won't skip on my original non-usb numark pt-01. Terrible construction on this one. Very disappointed with the product!

I bought this turntable as I have started collecting vinyl again. I should have done my research first. First of all, I sent my first PT-01 back because the USB connector and software didn't work with my Intel based Mac. The 2nd unit I received didn't work either. OK, so I bought some adapters and used Garageband to record my records into mp3 format. Fine and dandy. Now, a few months later, the pitch and sound begins to warble and speed up and slow down. Not cool. I am going to do my homework this time and by a better model.
