To tell you the truth if you were going to strictly mix then this is a good table. Anything eles and it seems top be lacking one very important thing. TORQUE!!!! It can't handle scratching. The more stabs you do the weaker and weaker the motor gets until suddenly it stops spinning all together. I find it very frustrating and you would be better off saving up for a technic 1200 or a stanton str8 s150. For mixing it is great. But everyone knows that if there is one thing vinyl is good for its scratching. So don't waste your time with this.

I have 2 Tecnic 1200 mk2, 1 Gemini TT04, and 1 Numark TT500. I purchased the TT200 to pair with the TT500. The torque on this turntable is not comperable to the tt500. When beatmatching, if you use your finger to progress the platter, it's too sensitive and you end up having to drag the platter drastically to slow the beat down, just to do it all over again, and again. It is not as rugged as the tt500 also. It does good for scratching, but for long blends, and beat mixing, it is too sensitive. I had the tt500 paited tith a technic 1200, and the gemini tt04. If you need the great pitch range, go tt500; The Gemini TT04 is ok too, but they dont do good paired with anything but another gemini tt04.

I bought one of these tables because I needed a second table for my scratch sets. Honestly, i like this deck every bit as much as my 1200. i know a lot of people would instantly disagree, but this is a great table for scratching. my only gripe is that the motor gets very weak after a few hours or so of heavy scratching. since i dont really mix much, i cant speak for the pitch control, but the motor and platter combination is rock solid and will last a long time.

I bought these back in 03, and back then they came with the target lights and both tonearms. I must say for the price these tables are feature packed! I still use them to this day for practice sets, and they are still holding up strong. There are only a few gripes with these tables, one is that they don't seem to hold their pitch as perfect as a more expensive deck does when quartz lock is turned off. Another is the pitch sliders are very sensitive, and its easy to move them too far then you really want to. Besides those 2 little naunces, I say these decks are great beginning tools. They are a bit harder to mix perfectly on, but when you get it down, then move on to a set of top end decks, you will be amazed at how much easier it is. To me this is an excellent way to learn. I highly recommend these decks.

I got these last year and have only had good things happen since then. I am a DJ and technics are the standard but after mastering these technics are so much easier to mix on. They are definitely solid and have a lot of torque which is really nice. The only thing that I didnt like about them is they dont come with the target lights...If you are looking for some good turntables and dont want to bust your piggy bank open, go with these. I personally do not like technics do to the minimal features and the +/- 8. The tt-200s are comparable to the technics 1200s.
