I'm a full-time professional performing a variety of shows (Live Band, Karaoke & DJ) averaging 9 shows every week in a variety of clubs and halls. People are always complimenting me on my terrific sound (even Big-time Pros who are enured to high-end speakers are amazed once they've heard them). Over the years I've used a lot of high-end speakers but now I use the Peavey PR Series exclusively and currently own ten pairs. I always use a Peavey Kosmos, a top quality amp and a kickin' sub with them. These PR15s are super-light and extremely rugged plus they deliver fabulous sound across the spectrum. Just check the specs. In 6 years of very hard daily use, pushing 95 to 110 decibles, I've lost only one voice coil and it was easy to replace. I use the Pr15s as mains in medium to very large venues and outdoor events but no, I wouldn't use them as mains in an arena. It comes down to this, if you want to invest money in other things besides a set of speakers and make life easier on yourself, these are your speakers.

I bought a pair of these to use for small gigs, and it was worth every penny. Not are they extremely lightweight, but they are also extremely durable. There was a gig that we were using these for and when we were taking down, one of the roadies dropped an sp15 and it bounced off the stage before falling another 6 feet to the concrete. Not a scratch on the thing. I plugged it back in to make sure everything checked out afterward; Flawless. I've maxed these things out and never had them clip. For it's size, it puts out a healthy amount of bass, especially if you're using it for a dj gig. If miking live bands though, you would want to have a sub.

Recently purchased these puppies and the first thing I noticed is that THERE IS NO WAY THESE THINGS WEIGH 37lbs. They must weigh half that. We play small shows (150 people-ish) and these are perfect for it. Like everyone previously has said, don't use them as subs. We mic our drummer's kick through them and cut the lows and that seems to work just fine. A great investment overall. Highly satisfied.

I bought a pair of these and they are a good for what you pay. Only problem is that you have to be very careful not to overdrive them. They tend to clip on the high end very easily and I have blown out the horn already. They are light, which for and older dude like me it makes it a breeze to place them on a tree!!! by the way,,,get the subs!! They are very punchy and add a whole lot to the sound. The PR15's do tend to sound a little midi but you can adjust it to the sound you want,, I recomend these to anyone and once you get used to the plastic cabs you will be very glad you bought them...Your back will love you!!

We have a set of pr15's in our club they go 5 nights a week and have been put through hell! For the price you pay you will not find a better speaker. Also the ultimate for the mobile dj because they are so lightweight..nice job Peavey!
