This One Is A Surviver!

I bought this mixer a year ago after my Mackie CFX12 was stolen. I was automatically pleased with the ease of operation with this mixer. I run a karaoke show with this board and 4 JBL EON g2 speakers and I was more than pleased with the quality of sound. I have also recorded live performances with this board and was able to get some fantastic recordings. The only draw back was the USB feature was not compatable with Windows Vista, but that was a minor complaint since I could simply run the external sound card to the tape out.

Here is where the board is impressive. Mine was spilled upon THREE times. Yes, THREE. The first two times were within a two week span of one another during my karaoke and only temporarily disabled the use of the channels spilled upon. Within 7 hours after the spills, the board was fully functional with no deterioration of quality. The third spill happened when a drunk spilled half of a 20 oz coke zero on top of the mixer before I started my karaoke show! I ended up running the show off a spare mixer while my husband drained and cleaned the mixer. We thought there was no way for the board to survive a spill like that. We went ahead and purchased a new board. But lo and behold, out of curiousity, I plugged the system into the peavey 3 days later and everything worked PERFECTLY! I was shocked! I have used the board a couple times since with no problems, so I am a believer in Peavey boards! You can't kill em!

Great Gamble and Great Investment

Purchased this for an emergency hours before a show and it worked amazingly with a nine piece band. There wasn't any feedback and sounded great with two bose sticks. Under the conditions, with a big band, needed a larger mixer (PV14) but the PV10 was the only one available. Therefore, the investment was a gamble but paid off handsomely.

This is my first mixer, and I wish it had auxilary outputs as well as some more main outputs. However, the stereo effects are nice. For my band it works great. I wish it would have came with the rack mount ears. 20 bucks extra for those kinda sucks!

Can't beat the price. It has 6 mic lines with 2 stereo lines and all the effects you need. Good bang for the buck!

Overall

This is a good mixer for the begining musician/sound guy. To get familiar with a sound board it's nice to start on something less complex but still good in quality. If you want a real mixer, look to Mackie or Soundcraft, something with Auxillary outputs, and more options for main outs, or even a sub out. Overall, I am satisfied with it, it does it's job and then some!
