My experience was exactly the same. It had to get it replaced twice as the power supply overheated and the unit died. Peavey is made by a chinese company called Kwanasia which used to be Behringer's old subcontrcator 10 years ago before they built their own plant. Now you know why. You better buy something Soundcraft, Behringer, etc.

Had the mixer for 2 months and it died on me. It's the third Peavey product that failed within the last two years. Since Peavey moved production to China they completely lost it. Stay away from Peavey.

I own one of these bad boys and the sound is amazing. The name gets people because you think PEAVEY = cheap. I bought this mixer 3 years ago because I needed something for my band. Nothing beats this amazing piece of work for the price point! For larger performances where I need more than the 10 XLR channels I have an Allen & Heath GL24?. The only thing I want in a small mixer is the frequency sweep knobs and the mid-low and the low knobs. Then I could make a perfect mix.

I have owned the PV12 for more than six years and it has taken a lot of abuse while traveling. I can't believe that someone would go to a cheap easy to break Bearinger . Oh well to each his own.
