The SSE LA is a compound-radius, curved line array speaker that provides a controlled and contoured vertical coverage pattern for improved intelligibility in larger or more reverberant spaces. Its dual-coverage pattern provides a tight 20° vertical coverage for the primary long-throw pattern and a 40° vertical coverage for the secondary near-field pattern.

The smooth curve of the array allows the Peavey SSE LA to be flown much lower than most "J" arrays, increasing the flexibility and utility in spaces with lower ceilings. Adding to this versatility, an attenuation switch for the near-field pattern reduces the output so that it does not overpower the audience just below and in front of the array.

Better and cheaper than Bose

The engineers at Peavey made this purpose-specific mini-line-array for reproducing intelligible speech. It does that job VERY well.

In difficult acoustic spaces, like the highly-reverberant interiors of churches, the mini line array is the best way to go. This curved design delivers targeted midrange audio with wide dispersion, but without "hot-spots." Because ti is a passive speaker system, you can use existing amplifiers, however, this array will perform best with digital signal processing. Either way, this is equal-to or better than any Bose system I have seen, and it costs MUCH less... about 75% less.

If you are an audio contractor placing a bid on a speech PA system for malls, churches, small public arenas , television audience venues, retail stores, large manufacturing facilities, etc... you should definitely consider this array. We have found it outperforms many higher-priced systems, is easier to install and integrate with existing equipment. It looks good too!
