An updated version of their popular 740 powered mixer, Phonic's Powerpod 740 Plus features dual 7-band graphic EQ, 16 high-definition digital effects; stereo RCA I/O with trim control for digital media, rumble filters and phantom power supply, switchable mains power between 115VAC and 230VAC, and less weight achieved by switching power supply. Includes 2 - 20' speaker cables and dynamic mic with cable.

The Phonic 740 powered mixer is housed in a compact and durable molded cabinet. Each Powerpod Plus has a built-in stereo amplifier which is bridgeable and power can be directed to select outputs. Super Hi-Z inputs allow for the addition of guitars and other instruments. The mixers feature onboard DFX, Phonic's 24-bit digital effects processors with 16 preset programs. The 3-band EQ on every channel and dual multiband graphic EQ with selectable In/Out switches give you maximum control over your mix.

The mixer gets used two or three times a week and is lugged around from one place to another all the time. Weve only had it about it about 7 or 8 weeks but it sounds fantastic and seems as solid as a rock. We paired it with an old pair of speakers we had lying around and they sound brand new. Cant believe our luck finding such a bargain. It would be nice if it was stereo but we dont really need it anyway.

I was ordering a back up powered mixer when i saw the whole package, so i just ordered everything instead for just a little bit more money. Wow, what a surprise! It really sounded great...just as good as the cheeper peavey stuff without the name brand. I ordered the 12" speakers because inexpensive 15" speakers tend to sound really muddy although though i have not heard the 15's I think i made the right decision on the 12's.

This is a winner system and best bang for the buck! You will be very happy with what you get for your money!

The powerpod i bought i got on 7/15/2009 and used it 2 times before the mixer fried. now all it does is make a buzzing noise. The phonic corporation has refused to return my emails or phone calls and i am getting very impatient with them as far as i am concerned the speakers rock, but the mixer is garbage and should be treated as such. it belongs in a dumpster

I got this mixer in a rush because my other one (not phonic) died after 10 years. I heard and used these before and let me tell you. I opened the box, read the manual (as you should) and pluged it in and and i heard no static or hiss in the speakers. This is super clean, when you stop playing there is no hum. I played 2 acoustic guitars and 2 mics in this with 12" speakers and one 10" moni, and was so loud. I played inside and outside with it and it is great. The FX's are great and clean. There is no lack of power, sound, or mixing options with this, if your looking for a good mixer, you found it!!!!

I was quite happy with the Phonic Powerpod 740 Plus when purchased - it seemed like an incredibly good unit for the money. But it died after a few months with a puff of smoke and a blown fuse. Sent it back to Phonic at my expense and after a six week wait finally got it back. It died the same death within minutes... Sent it back a second time (at Phonic's expense) and they repaired it quickly and returned it to me. After another eight months of trouble free use it's dead again with the same symptoms. It will now become target practice.
