The Phonic Powerpod 740 Plus / S715 PA Package is a portable PA setup that delivers affordability and power. This package is equipped with a rugged, Phonic 740 Plus 2 x 220W 7-Channel powered mixer with Digital Effects, and two Phonic S715 15" 2-way speakers. This PA system setup is an affordable way for bands to play small venues, and get their sound heard. The package has 7 XLR inputs, which is an ideal amount of inputs for miking up a drum kit. Includes 2 - 20' speaker cables and dynamic microphone with cable.
The Phonic Powerpod 740 Plus powered mixer has a compact and durable design, and is an updated version of their popular 740 powered mixer. It features a dual 7-band graphic EQ, 16 high-definition digital effects, and stereo RCA I/O with trim control for digital media. It has 6 Mic and 8 Line input channels, with 3-band EQ on every channel that put the control of your mix in your hands. It has rumble filters and a phantom power supply, switchable mains power between 115VAC and 230VAC, and less weight thanks to a switching power supply.
The Phonic S715 15" 2-way Stage Speakers can be used as either floor monitors or mounted main speakers. They have power handling of up to 400W program, and 600W peak power. They incorporate 15" heavy-duty woofers, with piezo tweeters, which deliver a wide range of sound. The Phonic speakers have a built-in handle, and a 35mm stand adaptor built-in as well. They also have dual 1/4" phone jacks.

Great PA for small $$

Great deal, absolutely great. Works perfect for small to mid sized gigs etc. and has every feature you could possibly need for a PA right out of the box. Effects work fine but you must remember to dial in the amount needed on each channel with it's own effects control, there's 1 for every channel, plus a master control. Even comes with pretty good cords and mic.

I have wanted a pro-quality karaoke setup for my house for private parties. I have 17,000 songs on my laptop. A local KJ friend recommended I look at this package. It looked like a steal and perfect for what I wanted. I am very pleased but it seems that the "effects" do not work. No effects knob setting of the 16 or so choices changes the sound output in any way. I'll have a pro look at what I'm doing but I'm at a loss right now. Without any effects I'm still very pleased. A better mic is planned, but the overall package is great for what you pay.

My band was playing a show where a PA was guaranteed to us, but at the last minute, technical difficulties arose. We used this baby last minute and it saved the show. Plenty of power for a crowd sized 100+ people. Buy it!

Just fired this baby up for the first time tonight at rehearsal. Wow! We are: 3 vocals, keys, 300 watts of bass, 150w of stereo rockin guitar, and a sweet, stereo electric drum kit. This Phonic amp/mixer is powerful (read: LOUD!) and loaded with goodies. Most noteworthy is the FX you can add: chorus, echo, doubler, and a variety of reverbs to name a few.
Yeah the mic is el cheapo, but you can get some great mic packages here at MF for a steal! Yes, the speaker cables stink, but so what? (This is like dissing your new axe because it has lousy strings.)
Overall, this thing can handle it, and it's price is an amazingly great value!

In my previous review I listed the "horse-power of the 740 Plus @ 240w per side and it should have read. 220W per side @ 4ohm's.
Currently running 4 vocals/keyboard/guitar and mandolin through the system and it sounds fantastic.
