I bought this package thinking "300w per channel!?!? I'm sold!", but upon using it I was a bit underwhelmed. Cons - Just like with the cheaper models, it's really easy to send the mixer into the red. 48v phantom power works, but it's very low quality. same cheap buttons. Pros - Cheap, comes with two 15" speakers, Mic isn't too bad. Enough wattage to add subs later Just make sure you get a good preamp for any mics you're going to use, and this thing will scream!

We're a 3-piece group that needed a PA for vocals and possibly other purposes down the line, but looking for used gear locally just didn't compete with the deal we got here. The Phonic Powerpod 780/S715 value is superb for what you get, and for an entry-level system this will likely get you what you're looking for if you don't have time or money to slowly piece together a higher-end PA system. However, pay heed to warnings you may have read elsewhere regarding the included speaker cables as these highly reduce signal quality these speakers are capable of producing. We replaced these with 14 gauge 25’ cables and the improvement was very noticeable! Add some brief (built-in) EQ tweaking, and you’ve got yourself a great starting PA!

Great PA for the price!!

Got this by UPS the day before a gig and this PA holds up well! Three bands played, each getting louder, and the last band you could hear the vocals over two stacks and a nice size bass cab. For the price you cannot beat this product. The 15's really bring out the bass while the high end cuts through as well. Only thing is, the speaker cables it came with are not really high quality and are short. They will get you by for a little while but will need to be upgraded soon after your purchase. Also the channels on the mixer do not have a mute button or a pan button. This PA also came with stands that really improved the sound. I highly recommend this PA! You can always purchase 2 more 15's and monitors if you have the money!! Lot of options here and not so expensive!

Have been singing in bands on and off for 25 years. A friend and myself decided to unite and do some acoustic material. We had no P.A.....after searching, I feel like we hit the lottery!!
This system completely surpassed our expectations. It's got power, tone, warmth...all we were looking for and then some (actully, and then alot).
The components are rock solid. The cords are junk, but we replaced those, and used our own mics, and we couldn't be happier. We added a pre-amp to the mics, and we're ready to work!! Buy this system. It will not disappoint!!

First off, my background: PC techie/music lover/stargazer/young hippie/curious cat (I guess that makes me a 37 year old Tippie?). I picked up the six string acoustic guitar 4 years ago. Three months ago I bought the PowerPod780 to pump up my Alvarez RD20SC. WOW. I've heard systems 3x the cost of this little gem that are surprisingly on the same playing field. Good and plenty sound. I like a few of the EFX (delay, chorus, lazy tremolo especially) although they can get a bit noisy. Wish it had LR pan function (sigh). Do your research on this company and you'll find they've been quietly manufacturing quality, cost effective gear for around 30 years. They appear to have started in China, so they're not some "Johnny Come Lately" sellout to the cheapest human labor force on the planet. They've done audio manufacturing for some of the big guys out there and it'll be obvious when you plug this beauty in. Free speaker stands to boot?! Buy now. You won't regret it.
