The Pioneer DJM-909 Professional Mixer offers DJs innovative features including precise cross fader/fade curve control, user-customizable cross fader glide adjustment, and touch screen control of the built-in effects. The DJM-909 has the most precise and customizable crossfader in the industry. It's highly durable and has double fade control allowing each half of the fader to be adjusted independently! All fader curves can also be seen and adjusted with visual reference on the mixers' fader curve adjust screen. If that isn't enough, the crossfader feel can also be adjusted to your preference. Each channel fader curve can be adjusted from a smooth volume change to a dynamic volume ON/OFF at the tip of the channel faders (bottom or top). You will be able to crab-scratch the channel faders from either the top end or bottom end of the fader.

Connect with Pioneer's CDJ series, including the CDJ-100S, CDJ-800, CDJ-700S, CDJ-1000, and CDJ-1000MK2 to employ the fader start capability. The user can automatically start or stop playback with the sliding crossfader or channel fader.

Mixer Layout

The DJM-909 includes 50 built-in effects and a touch sensitive display. Clean, open fader area for scratching and beat juggling. Session line-in with volume control, cueable master output, mic input, and selectable phono/line switches. Tempo tap button, cueable effects switch, and a plug in for footswitch to control effects.

Touch Screen and built-in effects

A total of 50 different effects can be independently assigned, utilized, and tweaked through the mixer's user-friendly touch screen control. Fader Effect

I find it really hard to say anything bad about this mixer... the faders may be a little heavy for some if you're used to an 05/TTM56, but they're extremely customizable and are easy to get used to. The effects are great, especially with a foot pedal, and the sound quality is very nice. At first glance it appears to have a lot going on, particularly with the touch screen, but there are zero unnecessary buttons/pots on the thing, and it's easy to grasp the layout and logic of the mixer pretty quickly. Ability to adjust the tension on the CF in addition to the curves makes this a good mixer for any style of music. Only major downer is the price -- very expensive, but you get a lot of quality for what you lay out.

The 909 by far, is the best 'all-around' Mixer you can by for your money. I pretty much do it all, from DJ night clubs, Radio Mix Shows, to Turntablism, and this mixer by far is the 'Flagship' of mixers. The cost is a little high, but nothing compares to quality and sharpness of the 909.

It's a mighty fine mixer. It's my first Pioneer piece of equipment and I'm having no regrets from buying it. It is a bit expensive but if you want quality equipment you're gonna have to pay. The effects are cool and the touch screen is easy to use. Definately a good buy for a mixer.

I purchased this item recently and am amazed at how well this mixer performs. The quality is top notch and pioneer did a great job with this mixer. A high quality mixer with the reputation of pioneer. The effects on the mixer are amazing and the touch screen is on point. The best part I think about this mixer is that you can free your hand of the effects and connect a foot pedal to activate the effect. The only drawback I feel is the hefty price I believe they could sell this item for a little cheaper but its a great product and highly recommended.

I have been researching for the best mixer for the money and I haven't found a better mixer that you can battle with and have all the effects in a 10". Very first touchscreen which houses the controls for the effects makes it compact. A little pricey but nothing else in it's class can compete when performing live. A must have for any battle DJ.
