I did a lot of research, and overall for the money this turntable seemed to have the most going for it. I've had it for the past week, and I am impressed. It looks and sounds great, and set up was a breeze thanks in part to a helpful youtube video. I was disappointed, however, to find that the RCA and ground cables are hard-wired in, which means that I can't replace or upgrade them. I am concerned that if the cable fails, that's going to mean an expensive repair. I also have to note that the rear right corner of the plinth came with a small little ding on it--since it's in the back it's not very noticeable so I'm not going through the bother of returning it for a new one. The turntable was packed very well, and there was no damage to the box, so I have to assume that Pro-Ject let it leave the factory that way. They should have stronger Quality Control standards.

Had this turntable for a couple of years now. Recording my vinyl collection to MP3, but I also enjoy just listening to my records. What a great little package -- elegant simplicity. Great sound. Easy to use. Attractive. Highly recommended!

This unit arrived in two days, was perfect out of the box, and was set up and rocking within 10 minutes of opening. This is not a 'table for turntablists for sure, but if you inherited mom's old LPs and need something to spin them on, this sublime little 'table is a fine choice. Built in the EC by folks who still care, this 'table has everything you need and nothing you don't. On/Off and 33/45, those are your choices. You can get a 78 rpm pulley too if you shop around. Hi-Fi was never simpler and hardly ever better for this sort of cash. Buy one today!
