I use Shure 57's & 58's almost exclusively and in every box, there's a mic clip with the company logo on it. I usually save those as spares for stationary stands, but for any stand where a mic is going to be removed and replaced several times, I use these. The screws tend to work thenselves loose after several performaces, but that's what screwdrivers are for! I have half a dozen of these, never had one break, as opposed to several of the Shure brands (great mics, junk clips). I always buy one of these along with a new mic...

ok so i bought this and out of the box its not so good. yes the metal where it screws on does come of quickly. for me it was one day and all i did was drive to practice. BUT if you have rubber cement or an other form of gluing then this thing is great. i dont think this thing will ever break like a plastic clip. although it does droop a little. not really a big deal. but im a little bit ocd :)

I bought this only focusing on the hassle of putting the microphone in. but when this was shipped to me i screwed it on to our microphone stand and the next day took it to practice. With no use at all the metal screw on ring seperated from the clip and when we cliped in the microphone it leaned to on side this really is terrible.

IT is the greatest clip ever. I got a shure sm58 and the clip broke just like that, so i got this guy. He hasnt let me down yet!

Quick waste of money. Used it on 1 gig and it broke. The rubber separated from the metal screw on part.
