Bought this mic back in 2002 and it's still like new. Never ever gave me a problem, nice sound that it picks up. I use this to record vocals.

Great for Acoustic Guitar

When I first started using this mic, it didn't sound very detailed at all. I got the idea to use a battery instead of phantom power and BAM! this thing came alive! Not sure why this is, but I am totally shocked. My guitar recordings now sound just like they do in "real life". Highly recommended.

Great Mic For The Money

I have owned several condenser mics, Own more than one rode mic. These were recommended to me by a large producer who makes a living by producing and songwriting. I don't regret buying them. Rode stands up with the best of them. Not a lot of features, but straight up an excellent mic for the money.

Heaven on Earth

I bought this mic about 3 years ago for a friend who was the worship leader at my church. I was blown away by the sound quality and the quality constuction. I have a Rode Classic for my studio and a Neumann KMS 105 to use for live performance and I thought that the NT3 was every bit as good as those mics. I am going to get an NT3 in the near future to add to my arsenal.

Great for CHORAL applications
Posted by The_Choir_Master from Oregon on Mar 14, 2005
Experience w/product: I own it

Reviewer's Play Style: Classical/World/Acappella
I am a singer, choral director, and recording enthusiast/audiophile. I have worked with some of the best-known microphones for choral applications. These mics outperform the c1000's hands-down. I would prefer these to some overhead (hanging) choral mics costing $100's more. These work beautifully for live sound, and in recording, they are very clear. I have used these for everyhting from a quartet, to a 10-person acappella group, in solo work, and in large ensembles, all with good results. For this price, it is a wonder they aren't being used everywhere. Amazing sounds at an unbeatable price!
