Extremely sturdy and stable even at its highest position. The footprint is big enough to prevent it from accidentally falling over, but not so big that it takes up too much room. The padded hooks keep your laptop securely in place and are adjustable to fit any width laptop. The only shortcoming is that the top does not fold down flat for storage unless you remove one of the bolts. Either way, compared to every other laptop stand and tripod style music stand I've seen, this thing is built the best. Well worth the money at any price.

I got this just recently, and I couldn't be happier with it. It folds up, so it's portable, and its definitely durable. Overall, I'd say if you use a laptop live, get it.
