This headphone amp was perfect for recording in a basement with 3 other musicians, but it's biggest use is the wife and I watching movies or TV after the kids go to bed. I just hooked it up to our receiver and now we each can listen at our own comfort levels (mine loud!) and not wake up the kid's or disturb the neighbors. We've pretty much used it every day for at least 5 years and still working perfectly. Awesome product!!

Great pice of equipment. Simple , solid construction. Quiet operation , crystal clear soud with 1/8" or 1/4" headphones. If you are mostlikely using a mixer , just hook up a stero cable(ring,tip,sleeve)and that's it. No problem. ...Oh yes and don't forget the headphones of course...

It never ceases to amaze me that the vast majority of those who give poor reviews to reasonably good, fairly priced gear, invariably haven't set up the equipment properly. I've had the Rolls Headphone Amp for 5+ years. It does the job, provides a strong, undistorted signal and can operate with four headphones, each with different impedances. But it has to set up correctly with a stereo 1/4" jack plugged into the stereo input. It does the simple task it is supposed to do and a very fair price.

I own and use this unit when I need more than just my headphones plugged in. I've had the unit filled with four headsets and all was quite clear and pleasant. This is an excellent little amp for straight monitoring. I would not recommend this for any post production work or mixing, just for simple monitoring. I believe some people think this unit can be a " universal" type headphone amp and it just isn't. Also, you should not have to crank these all the way to "10" to get the volume you're after. If you have to crank it all the way up then it would be best to check your other equipment and determine if something there needs to be adjusted. Half way up is all that you should need. You wouldn't crank your mix desk up past -0- and you should not have to on this as well. Same rules apply. ;)

I record with 3 other musicians and for home recording, this little amp is great. In my space,its a little tight. So the small size does matter.
