I've had this preamp for over 3 years and it's great for the money. The compressor is very subtle and easy to use. The single tube also has a subtle effect, but a warming sound. I run everything thru this unit before it goes to the harddrive recorder - helps to make the sources bigger. Not too many people own these, so I guess the cat's out of the bag.
