I bought this mic to use as a kick mic and it works great for that purpose, but I also discovered that this mic is amazing for recording bass guitar. I was originally using an SM-57 on the bass, which gave me a slightly muffled, fuzzing sound on the recording. As soon as I swapped it out with this mic, without adjusting any levels, the quality was amazing! Perfect mic for bass guitar.
