Man, this is the best mic I've ever laid eyes on! I use it for drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar amps, trumpet, mandolin, keyboard, and violin, and it sounds so awesome! It has the durability like nothing else too! I've dropped a billion times and still no difference. GET ONE!

I have found these to be more useful for studio applications and other live applications. In the studio, I have used these for guitar cabinets, acoustic guitars (soundhole and 12th fret), drum overheads (not as good as condensers), snares, toms, and vocals. Live, I have used them on guitar cabinets, vocals, drums, drum overheads, as well as acoustic guitars. I HIGHLY recommend this mic. It reproduces sound very well and is a very "transparent" mic. It has a fantastic frequency response and is more sensitive than an SM57. I would not recommend this over an SM57 for percussion use, but I think it easily surpasses the 57 in vocal reproduction ability. It is better than 57s on guitar cabinets, but I would not recommend it over an e609. However, if you're looking for a GREAT all-purpose mic, buy one or 2 of these. They are great for just about anything and will not sound bad in almost any application (just don't stick it in a bass drum).
