The Tom mic!!

Once again Shure has proved to me without question that they are indeed making the finest drum mics on the planet. I've been using these mics on my 8'10'and 12'toms for a year now and with a preamp on each of them there is nothing better for toms. Smooth, tight clarity throughout the drums full range. No bleed over between mics has made the the rest of the kit record better. Drummers!! Enjoy!!

I have used all sorts of different tom mics and I have found that in this price range, the 98's outperform all others mics on the market. The attack is great, punchy low end. The separation is very nice as well. I have also begun using on the snare.... ooh baby.... I will never go back to a 57, 57a or 56 again!
