We have these at our church, we have had them for almost six years and they are still running strong! The only thing is after a few years the battery cover start to break off but with a little duct tape they are as good as new!! Will buy again in a heartbeat!

Hey, DS from Canada. I think the blinking light is telling you that you have put the mic in a mode designed so the soundman can keep the talent from turning off the mics accidently. Check the manual. I think it has to do with how long you hold the power button down. In my experience, this is a GREAT feature, not a problem.

We were using a mix of "economical" Audio-Technica wireless microphones. We constantly had issues with signal loss, interference and dealt with regular poor battery connections in the transmitters. We needed an improvement, but still needed to watch our budget. So we bought 2 PGX series with the PGX1 transmitter for lapel mics, since then we have bought 3 more PGX series with the PGX2/SM58 mics and will be buying 3 more sets by the end of the year. This product is easy to use, easy to setup, and the batteries are posted to last 8 hours, but with my own battery test I got about 12 hours before the batteries went low enough to turn the transmitter off. I did find that if you are buying the handheld mics, it is cheaper to buy the transmitter and receiver separate than together. Shure has great Customer Support and offers custom channel selection based on your area, though the Automatic Channel Selection built into the receiver has never given me any difficulty.

This mic is an affordable version of a good quality wireless mic. The sound quality is outstanding from these microphones. The only flaw that I found was that the mic goes haywire when the battery starts running a little low. When you attempt to turn it off the green like quickly blinks and doesn't turn off. However, that problem is easily solved by taking out the batteries. I've experienced this problem with all of these mic's that I own. I own nine of these and besides one faulty microphone all of them work well.

I have learned one thing about doing Karaoke in the short time I have had my business: There is a huge difference in what Mic I use and what Mic THEY use. I use this mic for me. I love the sound quality and I know how to take care of my stuff. For the drunks and skunks, I use the least expensive dual system that I can find. Love Sure and Love This Mic.!
