The Soundcraft EPM12 is a 12x2 frame size mixer that places emphasizes on quality, audio performance, and an easy to understand, uncluttered control surface. The 12-channel mixer's surface mount technology is used throughout, using close-tolerance components for high accuracy and repeatable settings for EQ and gain controls. The highly transparent GB30 mic preamps—designed by Graham Blyth and used on the larger LX7ii and GB Series consoles—feature high-resolution adjustment over a wide gain range of 55dB, and provide a stunning +22dB headroom through the mixing console. The Soundcraft EPM12 mixer's true professional 48-volt phantom power caters to condenser microphones of all types. Unique signal monitoring watches for overload in several channel strip locations and illuminates the LED more brightly as the signal approaches peak. 60mm high-quality faders are used. The monitor and headphone outputs work in parallel so that performers can listen on phones while an engineer listens to studio monitors.

Bought three...three have died

Beware that this console's manual says "not designed for 24/7 usage...power down when not in use"...which is a peach, given that the console does not come with an on/off switch.

Furthermore, this console is only designed to be used with 200 ohm headphones.

We bought three last year...all three are dead and they're unwilling to warranty them due to the fact that we had them plugged and in use the whole time.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

First off I'd like to say that I actually own the Spirit E12, made by Soundcraft, but after looking at the layout and features of this mixer and it's price, I realized that Soundcraft just gave it a new look with the blue and that's it. I have a couple of complaints with this: 1. The Monitor outs double the mains, okay for sound reinforcment, but not for stage mixes. 2. Only 2 aux sends and no aux returns means that they probably expected you to use them as monitor mixes, meaning that all effects have to be inserted, no effects loops here. 3. Three of my mono channels have gone out, leaving me with only nine usable mono channels for mics, that's from normal wear by the way. 4. No individual phantom power (if a 12 channel mixer costs $430, it better at least have that).

In conclusion, even though Behringer tends to be the joke of live audio, I disagree. If you want a low cost mixer but still get decent quality, go Behringer, I've had no problems so far for three years with a UB2442FX, I've had terrible luck with Soundcraft. Not worth the money at all.
