Top Quality Small Mixing Board

I picked this mixer up around christmas time this past year. Out of the box, this mixer looked immaculate. Its perfect for small recordings (full drum kits, band practices) and offers RCA outs to record in 2 channel stereo. I really liked the high and low end Mid EQ, and the ability to use 2 separate auxiliary controls. The only setback is that there are no individual outs for each channel, however you can run sound out of each channel through the 1/4 in. "Line" by inserting a TRS only to the 1st notch. Overall, solid mixer. And honestly, you can't go wrong with a Soundcraft.

Quality Budget Mixer

Just got the EPM 8 for church and swapped it with my cheapie, a Behringer UB1204FX-Pro. The difference was immediate and surprising. Transparency of the Soundcraft is excellent. It does what a good mixer should do -- it disappears. With the EPM-6 this inexpensive, there's no excuse to get a cheap mixer like a Behringer. This one has a few less features, but the sound quality and build quality are much better. Worth every penny.

I brought this mixer a couple of days...

I brought this mixer a couple of days ago. I brought the Soundcraft EPM 6 a few days ago. It is fantastic. The mic pre's a mind blowing . I did a couple of gigs this week and the response form the public has been great.

The unit is so silent , absolutly no noise and it also has a mid sweepable eq which I found great with my voice. What I like about the eq's is that they are not harsh sounding or over hyped they have a nice warmth too them plus they are very musical. On the gain there is lots of headroom without any distortion . The thing also sound lovely with my Lexicon MX 200 reverb unit.

What attracted me to this is that on the specs it says they use the GB30 mic pre's which are used on the Soundcraft's more expensive mixers.

I use to have a Mackie compact DFX 6 and a Phonic powerpod 620 but this soundcraft outshines them by far.

This is a great little mixer, It has lots of high end features and sounds that normally you would have to pay much more for. The swept mids are a nice extra, I would recommend the 8 ch. version though.
