I use: #483257 Audio-Technica M4000s 6 Pack Mic and stand kit - I also used a Soundcraft GigRac 600 Powered Mixer - 8 channel - 2 Black Widows speakers. Live Salsa Band in New York City - 2 Trumpet - 1 Trombone - Bongos, Congas, Timbales and three vocals. We just used them on 116th Street & Park Avenue - Everyone was heard clear and loud. For those of us that live in New York City we don't have a lot of space. The price is right the gear is on the money. Gentlements and Ladies if you have a group and need a amp that is small and powerful, purchase it trust me, it's great for you money. Thanks Musicansfriends and SoundCraft, espeically the gentlement @ musicanships Friends who help me get this gear together. It's very small and powerful.

I just bought this mixer the other day as a temporary replacement for a blown out mixer, I may now be using this for the rest of it's lifespan. I use this PA for mainly vocals, but I use it for some electric guitar and keyboard.

Even for it only being 300 Watts, at about level 5, it still has the umph to fill in a 300-400 capacity room. The only problem was I was underpowering the speakers, I plan on getting speakers that better match it. The mixer does not get over heated, plus with the 1/4" and Speakon outputs, it can use a wide variety of speakers. It looks new, plays with a crisp tone (barely need to adjust EQ settings).

Perfect for supper club

Our duo needed a small but fairly powerful powered board. The supper club has small but excellent JBL house speakers w/ a terrible PA. We needed a new one quick. The Soundcraft is perfect and takes up a minimal amount of room. 300 watts a side gives plenty of punch. We have no breakup at any volume level and the unit couples well with the inherent bass drop-off (around 10ft.) of the JBLs. In other words we can pound away in our corner of the room and still not bother people eating.

The first four ch's being "hot" are "recommended for vocals" but we found just the opposite; we had breakup running generic SM 57s and 58s. So we put the instruments in the first four and have had no problems. Sound quality "flat" is REALLY dry but can be warmed w/ inboard EQ and reverb. Pots could be better quality but overall a great little unit.

I bought this to replace some older equipment. I use it for a backup for DJ gigs and as a monitor amp for sound. It is very dependable, has a real clean sound and can get pretty loud for only 600w.
