I dont know much about technical things but I bought this in the summer of 2009, i was on a tight budget and needed something decent to run vocals and keyboards thru. I got what i wanted and more! This thing has plenty of power. I have it in my garage and you can hear it clearly from more than 100 yards away(i live in the middle of nowhere). This setup is perfect if your trying to start a garage band. My suggestion is that you run keboards and vocals thru it and run guitars and bass thru seperate amps because if you run bass and guitar thru it the sound distorts and increases your chances of blowing out the speakers. But overall a great deal!! Buy this beauty, i was glad i did.

Nice Unit for the $

As a small band starting out this is a perfect fit. We are using this for vocals only. I already owned some decent mikes so I didn't bother with the one that came with the unit. Nor did I bother with the cables either as they are very cheesy. The mixer is plenty loud with very little hum at max volume. The reverb is a little thin for my taste.I am using this unit to drive two Yamaha 12" and the two Squiers as monitors. The Squiers have good high clarity and booming bottom end. Altogether a nice little unit.

Nice pa

I like this pa. We play gospel music in nursing homes. We have a keyboard, which has plenty of volume by itself for the size rooms we play in. We run three mics and an acoustic guitar through the pa. For what we are doing it is great, with plenty of volume. My son and his friends have used this pa at home for playing rock and it sounded great for that too. If your a hard rock or metal band planning on playing clubs or bars, you should probably be looking at power amps and a sound board. It would be a decent pa for a garage or basement, loud enough to jam without getting the cops called on you. The knobs do seem to be a little on the dainty side, so I treat them nice and gentle. However the case is rugged, the speakers are rugged, and they are not a pain to haul in and out of the places we play. Hope this helps you decide. I only give it 4.5's because let's face it, it's not high end gear. It's a good setup for amateurs and hobbyists.

Great for practice.

I have had 2 of these PAs, I sold the old one due to some down time and I think they are awesome! Built like tanks and work great for practice and monitors. I play big mesa amps and play with drums and this pa pumps loud enough to hear fine at practice, good for small house shows. I think these other reviewers that say its not loud enough dont ave speaker stands which are a must, get the speaks at ear level and its awesome. I run one of the speakers out of my amp during shows and point it back at me for a monitor, its great.

I dropped the powered mixer out of my truck and it still works! just some scratches!
