To begin with, you're going to have to deal with torque issues. It's simply a fact with this turntable. I'm just starting out, so I wanted a quality turntable that would allow me to practice mixing and cueing. At first I was supremely disappointed with the torque on these as any gentle press down on the record would stop the platter. After reading a few message boards and seeing some guy just kill it scratching with these, I found out that the real problem is the slipmats that come packed in with the TTs. I ended up buying some Stanton DSM-9F slipmats, which offer very low friction and it's like I spent another $100 on my TTs. With the torque problem fixed, I have absolutely no problem recommending these to anyone who is starting out and is looking to get a full-featured TT without busting the bank on your first DJ Rig. I use these with Serato Scratch Live and they perform beautifully.

stanton makes a great product i have used them for years. of course ther is entry level and pro level products you do get what you pay for in some brands but i have to say stanton even entry level is decent the t60 is in the middle for a direct drive table and the price here is great so i recomend this table for dj's trying to get started and trust me i know it can get pretty expensive when you are trying to get started in the game

Great turntable for beat matching and sampling, ok for a little scatching here or there. The problem is it needs a hair more torque. Detachable cords allowed me to use my thicker and better quality wires. Get a T80 for scatching. Still a great turntable for the money.
