Complete control of your monitor mix and sound right at your mic stand!
The VSM-300XT VoiceSoloXT Active Personal Monitor from TC Helicon offers improved sound, better looks, and a lower price than the original model. The VSM300XT monitor lets you hear the stage mix you need without all the feedback! You get intelligible, natural vocal sound thanks to an ICT (Inductively Coupled Technology) point source driver; a rugged, efficient cast aluminum enclosure; and a clean, quiet 150W BASH amplifier with a built-in limiter. Non-electrical methods are used to couple the tweeter with the woofer making the tweeter indestructible.
The VoiceSoloXT Active Voice Monitor mounts on your mic stand with included hardware to save floor space. Attach the hardware to your stand once, and the monitor will pop on and off. It also rocks back to 3 different angles on the floor. Features mic and line inputs and a pass-thru to connect additional VSM-200XTs (sold separately) or VSM-300s in parallel. A front-panel volume control lets you decide how loud you want your monitor mix and does not affect the level going to any other monitor or the mixing console.
The VSM-300XT monitor speakers are portable and versatile because your monitoring needs can vary by venue, the size of your group and the level of your performance or practice. The VSM-300XT can be used in numerous mounting positions including the highly practical method of integrating VoiceSolo into your boom mic-stand, saving stage space. However, conventional options can also be used like the floor wedge position, on a stand without a boom, or stand mounted for side fill or small PA.

I have one of these and one of the 200XTs I run in stereo. I play keys and sing in a MIDI based duo. We run our PA system in stereo to get the full dimension of the stereo mix of our sequences. I wanted a stereo monitor system to hear the same mix on stage. This works great! I agree with some of the other reviews that it sounds much better on a stand than on the floor. At times I add a powered sub-woofer to compensate for the lack of low end, mostly when we play outdoors or in a big room. But thats not always necessary as the low end of the front speakers can be felt on stage. When I brought these to our first gig, my partner was immediately impressed, and has loved them ever since. The price is a little steep, but you pay for quality, and I plan to keep these around for a long time. The box that hooks up the two speakers has great versatility, even an output for the sub.

I have had this unit for 14 months. I have used it a total of 4 times. It is built like a tank. On the outside, that is. I even have an ANVIL case for it. It has been onstage twice and used at home three times total. When not in use, it is in the case. The unit stopped working after 14 months. No buzz, no smoke, nothing. Just quit. Fuse is fine. Could be faulty power supply.

I've had this now for about 6 months and just think it's great. Everything is at your fingertips that you would ever need to adjust. Good quality sound in a small unit. Whether you play in a band or solo it offers a lot of versatility. TC Helicon has a lot of quality products out there and this is no exception. It can mount right on your boom mike stand or put in on a separate stand or on the floor. You have so many options to choose from. It is a tad pricey but when you consider it's likely the last time you'll buy a personal monitor it's well worth it.

I purchased this after using Floor Monitors for the last several years. I ordered one of these sold the floor monitors and have never been happier. This Monitor really sounds great and gets loud. You can really hear yourself like non-before. Also the stage volume has really improved by not having the floor monitors That is the greatest thing I like. I can not believe the diffrence.
They are made specificly for Voice and it sounds good. I would replace it should something happen to it, with another one. I do recommend this Product!!

I figured I would try this unit, based on the good luck I have had with their products. The other reason is that I just do not like lugging around heavy stuff to gigs anymore. I first tried this on the floor with a direct line in from the monitor, and really did not think it performed that well. However, when I mounted it on the mikestand, ran everything through the little I/O box, everything came together. I was impressed by the quality of the mix coming through. Sure, it is small, and little costly for its size, but it is quiet, and I was hearing everything, not tinny or boxy at all. I have not used it at a live gig, but I found myself just using this while practicing. Here is my setup:
PA - Yamaha Stagepas500
Monitor - TC VSM-300XT
Mike - Shure Beta 87A
Effects -TC Harmony G
Guitar - Takamine Supernatural
