I use this for recording and live purposes. Its best feature is ease of use. The effects fall into basically these categories: Reverb/Delay, Modulation, and Distortion (Transducer). Of course, manipulating these effects to your satisfaction can be mind boggling. This thing makes it easy. With 99 presets and only 2 controls knobs, you should easily get sounds you like. I got the manual for the super edit mode online but have never tried it. It also has footswitchable on/off and effect banks, but I usually find something I like and leave it alone in a live setting.

I purchased this pedal a couple of years ago. I play in a band that mixes rock & electronic loops, making voice effects crucial in our performances. The quality you can get out of this pedal is outstanding, although there are a couple of buts... 1- It's hard to use for voices without much natural power. We have to turn the pedal's input volume almost off to avoid feedback when our female singer uses it (using a Shure SM-58 through it). 2- Although you can change from 8 different storable effects with a simple footswitch, there are great differences in volume and compression from each other. That will give whoever is behind the mixer a big headeache. Maybe these issues could be easily corrected with the Helicon's Correct Pedal. What a coincidence, right? Anyway, we love it and take it everywhere with us.

This thing is amazing. Anyone who has played a show with a house soundman knows how much the vocalist tend to get screwed over, by boring signals that do nothing to accent your voice. This little machine will take care of all that as well as add some awesome effects all at the touch of a button. Do not hesitate! I understand why so many people are giving it low value reviews simply because of the price tag, but that's just what you pay for TC quality. Plus the thing is a brick of steel, very solid construction.

I have purchased many such units to add simple effects, controlled by me not a sound guy, and this is by far the best. Lots of effects to choose from and quiet. Even the levels from on to off are equal when puncing in and out. Only negative...no on/off switch.

This little guy impresses me every day. I play in a band and I use this thing to color my vocals for live performances. They don't tell you in the videos how much information this thing saves when you set your presets... A TON! It not only saves which effect you select, but also its individual tap tempo, X and Y knobs, and MIX level!!! All of these are individually saved to your present so you don't have to bend down to adjust any of the knobs for your next song... pure genius for such a small, strong pedal. Oh, yeah... and it sounds superb. :)
