I've had this for a few years now, and overall I like it a lot.

There's really no features here, it's just a 4 track recorder for a low price. If you know what you're doing, you can make decent demo recordings with it.

However, if you want to record something and you want it to sound pretty good, I'd save a little more money and get a digital 8 track recorder. The fact that this recorder uses cassettes makes that background white noise inevitable.

So yea, if you need something cheap that you can quickly make demo recordings with, this is what you want. Otherwise, go for something a little better.

I bought this two years ago, just to record some rough demos. I've since upgraded recording, but this thing was great while i had it. If you just need an idea collector of just need to throw together a few tracks then this is great for the value. You obviously aren't going to be cutting an album with this thing.

This thing is still a working and vital piece of gear in my arsenal. I use it to ghetto sample tapes since it has an output. I just line it into my current recording system and hit play.

i've had this product for probably closer to 2 1/2 years. i decided to wait to write a review because i was unsure if this thing would even hold up this long. basically this 4 track is just something to record ideas on so you don't forget them later. that's IT. don't expect to cut demo's with it or impress anyone. it says in the description (atleast it did?), it's just an idea collector for songwriters. so before you buy it, realize that it's just like a home tape recorder with some PAN and some VOLUME fixtures. other than that, there are no effects. just enough to get your music on there. the value of this i rated kind of low. i'm not sure if it's my cord, or what, but the input dosen't work on it, rarely at that. whenever you plug something into it it won't work. so therefore i can't record. i have heard that is a common problem, so be cautious of that, and also i have heard the buttons stick on it alot. it won't last long, but if you're temporarily recording ideas or want a start and you're a kid, buy it. otherwise, go digital. it's much more efficient and cheaper in the long run.

I bought one of these things about 7 years ago. Me and a couple buddies used it for a year or two recording simple demos and such. Seven years later, its still there half of the knobs and buttons are broken off, the plate that covers the cassete is long gone and the thing has an inch thick layer of crud and beer on it.But.It still works perfectly. I have since bought another one and I am satisfied with the recording quality. I mean comeon.its a four track tape recorder. I give it a thumbs up all the way.
