The Track Pack starts with the US-144 audio interface, TASCAM's ultra-rugged, portable computer interface. The TASCAM US-144 has 2 mic or line inputs, monitor outputs and digital ins and outs for a total of 4 ins and 4 outs. A pair of XLR microphone inputs provide phantom power for quality mics like the included TASCAM TM-78 condenser microphone. The TM-78 captures intense vocals and detailed acoustic instruments like acoustic guitar, fiddle and percussion. This TASCAM recording bundle even includes a microphone clip and tabletop stand for podcasting and songwriting.
Included in the TASCAM Track Pack T2 is a copy of Cubase LE4 48-track recording software. Cubase LE4 includes effect plug-ins, MIDI tracks, notation editing and automated mixing so you can create polished mixes.

TASCAM Interfaces Includes Steinberg Cubase LE and TASCAM GigaStudio 3 LE
Steinberg's Cubase LE workstation software is now included free with the TASCAM US-122, US-224, US-428, FW-1082, FW-1804 and FW-1884. This software provides 48 tracks of recording and playback with a TASCAM interface and a Mac OS X or Windows XP computer.
In addition to Steinberg Cubase LE, TASCAM interfaces include GigaStudio 3 LE. This is a 64-voice version of our new GigaStudio 3 streaming sampler application for Windows XP. You get all the features of the full version of GigaStudio 3, including ReWire 2 support, GigaPulse SP convolution reverb playback, VST plug-in capability, instrument stacking, iMIDI rules, powerful mixing features and much more. For the money it is hard to complain. But, the one problem I have notice is the the Phantom power and pre-amps are very low end. You will get a very high pitched noise when you turn the phantom power on and the pre-amps up. This is very undesirable.
This is great for a newbee just trying to make a few songs or lay down some ideas.. But, for someone who whats to produce high quality materials should look elsewhere.
