Folded Right-facing

Designed specifically for DJs, these headphones are not only comfortable on your ears, but comfortable on your eardrums as well. While you've got 'em wildin' out on the dance floor, you can safely keep up on what's going on with the incredibly clean S-Logic Surround Sound which has 40% lower dB, giving you the same loudness sensation without the risk of eventual hearing loss. The DJ1's also produce up to 60% less radiation than ordinary headphones.

Don't take all this safety to mean that the sound has been compromised somehow. Au contraire. While suppressing the outside noise with their closed ear design, the DJ1's S-Logic will make it seem like you're in the center of a live concert. The 50mm Mylar electro acoustical driver produces impressive sound pressure so you feel the distance and detachment of sounds as they come at you from all angles for a full-on 3-D experience.

The easily recognizable black and white logo design also makes them aesthetically pleasing and easy to find in the UV-lighting of most nightclub situations. When your done for the night, they easily fold up for compact storage and easy transportation till your next gig.

Quality sound. Hot design. It's no wonder there's a number 1 in their name.

The large 50mm drivers combined with the S-Logic Plus Natural Surround Sound technology are extremely clean and balanced throughout the dynamic frequency range they offer. Lows are punchy and deep without any muddiness or distortion. Mids and highs are crisp, yet not overbearing. I'm clearly hearing sounds I've never heard before in my music.

They are very comfortable and have a large adjustable fit range. A huge plus is the ear pads fit well over my larger-than-average ears. They fit tight enough to block out most external "normal" volume noise, but they don't give you a headache after several hours.

The coiled cord allows plenty of room to move around. The rotating and folding ear cups make them easy and compact for storage and transport.

German engineering...what else can I say? Get these and you definitely won't be disappointed!

Did some research on these and they came highly recommended by on line specialists. Used them for almost a year until the metal insert in the over head band section snapped. I bought them because they were supposed to not break where the Sony 700's commonly do (behind the ear cup at the swivel junction) Unfortunately these found a new place to break:( Took care of them and everything...my head's not that fat..so..average rating from me - wanted 3-4 years out of em, not 1. Shoot, even my Sony that did snap still works as a head phone unattached. Tried to do that with these and didn't work. Had to throw out. Dissappointd. Wouldn't buy again. Especially for the price. Sony 700's are cheaper these days. Might as well get them and use them even after they break. LOL

I've had these headphones for almost two years and I can honestly say they are amazing. They are very accurate when mixing and sound great for just listening to music. I also use them as isolation headphones for drumming and they take out just enough noise so that my ears are safe but just the right level so I can still hear clearly how my drums are sounding.

I've used my DJ1 Pros for about a year and a half, and they still look as if I'd bought them yesterday. These things are very well constructed and very comfortable. I can wear them for hours with no fatigue at all. They come with a standard coil cord as well as a half-straight, half-coiled cord with a stereo/mono switch and separate L/R volume controls -- what a terrific idea.

I can't say enough about the quality of Ultrasone's customer support, either. The first pair I got was noticeably quieter in one ear. I emailed the company, and not only did they replace the headphones, they mailed them out to me BEFORE I'd even mailed the faulty pair out to them. That's amazing. This kind of thing makes me a very loyal customer.

Sound-wise they're very clean, emphasizing highs and lows. They remind me of Sony V700s, and I admit I still really like the sound quality of V700s -- but they fall apart in less than a year, whereas these are clearly going to last a while.

I admit I'm torn about the white ear cups. On the one hand they're very distinctive, and I get asked about the phones a lot. They also glow in black light. :) On the other hand, well -- they're white.

I also use Ultrasone's HFI-700s for studio monitoring, and I think they're great.
