I've been playing for 10+ years now, bought these a long time ago 6+ yrs ago and they still are in mint condition. They fit comfortably though you'll get a bit hot if you are really playing like a mad man. They still allow the drums to come through, so it is still very enjoyable to play. The are one solid product and best of all I still can hear.

If you play along with music, I suggest buying the electronic ones, but these are an affordable option if you are practicing solos, beats, etc.

i am 13 years old and begun to lose my hearing. To add to that, i got a fender deville and if you havent played through it, it hurts! these are necessary for a musician

These headphones will totally prevent any drummer or guitarist from having to wear hearing aids when they're 30. They drastically reduce the volume of your drums (to your ears, not everyone else near you) up to 30db, plus they're very comfortable, and light. Unlike written in some other reviews, they don't make your drums sound boomy, like some other sound isolation headphones do, but they do give your drums extra warmth and punch (just the way I like it). Every drummer needs to get these headphones for practice. They make me play better also. And they look much cooler than in the picture. They're actually shiny black and the writting on the side looks cooler. The head-part-thing can be pulled out to be adjusted to the size of your head. I bought these for my 2-year old (27 months) son last week to protect his ears while practicing the drums. Because many pros use this Vic Firth dB22 Isolation Headphones. The pros I talked to said this is one of the best you can get. At the shortest adjustment, it fits my 2-year old son's head very well. I was worried it would be too big, but it is a very good fit. It looks cool and he is starting to like it. He has been able to put it on by himself with some practice over the past week. Hopefully in time he will keep them on all the time.

These things are amazing. I use them to play drums and wont play without them. They make my kick sound nice and wet and make the overall sound quality better. I actually play better with these things on. I'm gonna buy the ones with the speakers inside for studio use.
