The Yamaha MG10/2 Stereo Mixer is the way to go if you simply need to mix a few sources to stereo but you insist on the finest audio quality available. It's compact and convenient to use, but won't compromise your signal in any way. With an optional adapter, the MG10/2 can even be mounted on a microphone stand for totally flexible positioning and easy access. For demo and music production in your personal studio, for band rehearsal, small sound reinforcement applications, or as a super utility mixer for any application, you can't lose with the MG10/2.

10 input channels

The MG10/2 features a total of 10 input channels: 2 mono microphone/line inputs and 4 stereo line inputs, 2 of which offer mono microphone input capability.

4 low-noise, high-precision mic preamps

The microphone preamps provided on the 2 mono channels and 2 of the 4 stereo channels would be worth the price of the entire mixer if packaged separately. These are high-performance head amplifiers that will bring out the best in any dynamic or condenser microphone.

Phantom power

So you can take advantage of the superior sonic quality of professional-class studio condenser microphones, all 4 of the MG10/2's high-performance mic preamps feature switchable phantom power. A single switch turns phantom power on or off for all 4 channels.

Insert I/O

Mono input channels feature insert I/O patch points so you can add compressors, EQ, or other extra signal processing to the channels as required.

3-band channel EQ and HPF

Designed for smooth, musical response, the 3-band equalizers provided on all input channels are one more sonic tool you can use to create clean, professional mixes. All mono microphone input channels also feature a switchable high-pass filter that can be used to cut out unwanted low-frequency noise.

2 aux sends and stereo aux return

The MG10/2 is also fully equipped to handle external effects and monitor systems. Use the post-fader auxiliary sends in conjunction with the stereo auxiliary returns to add reverb, delay, or other external effects to the mix, and use the pre-fader sends to feed a separate mix to your monitor system.

Optional mic stand mount

What could be more convenient than having your mixer mounted on a microphone stand for freedom of placement and easy access? With the optional BMS-10A Mic Stand Adapter, you can do just that and have your sonic control center within easy reach all the time.

Best small bare-bones mixer !

The Yamaha MG10/2 is Perfect! I wanted small, and will Y two together before moving to the MG 16/4 when needed. Get the BMS-10A adaptor to put it on a mike stand, very handy. Impressed at the useful features for such a small bare-bones package. I keep EQ, effects, and limiting outside the mixer but they offer slightly bigger models with these onboard if you prefer. And the price was a fantastic "icing on the cake". Channels 1&2 even have personal send/receive for effects when using the XLR inputs. Beware tho, headphone/monitor has seperate volume yet still depends on the master volume being on. If you need small, this is a beautiful thing . . .

Great Quality for Cheap

Wow, this was about the best upgrade to my basement band PA system I could do. Along with a new mic, I changed from a cheap radioshack-type mixer to this and I am so impressed with the quality from this compact and easy-to-use unit. Yamaha makes great products and this is the proof. Very reliable, and has quite a few useable features. Not much there that you don't need. The users manual is very helpful in using the miser and is easy to understand. Very quiet and low maintenance product. Basic and easy to use!

This is just a wonderful little mixer that I use with my home recording equipment. It does a very good job and has yet to fail my needs. This mixer can do more then I will ever need. Yamaha is to say the least, great equipment to use.

Great mixer

I'm not sure if its the mixer or my cheap mic pack but the mic channel I use when turned up a lot can be noisy in some cases.

Other than that Ive been using this unit for the past 9 months now and love it compared to my old little Behringer mixer. I do recording with audio and video for gear review videos so this is an important part to have with all the inputs that must get recorded in my home studio.

I would say this is a great little amp for someone looking to start mixing. Yamaha has been top notch for me for years and their MG line of mixers gives a great bang for your buck.

This is a 10 input, 2 bus mixer...well enough for me.

The only other thing I wished they had done was put the jack and all on the back panel like the 14/4 mixer as this angle gets to your chords every now and then...but not fast at all as I've been using the same cords on this one for 9 months now.

great product, try it...you'll love it.

Great board

My buddy and I have a duo act. This board is perfect. I run 3 mics, a keyboard through it and it works great. It has sends and returns for effects, aux for monitors, control room outs, everything you get in a larger board, but compact and inexpensive. If something were to happen to this board, I would buy another in a flash. Good product. I recomend this to anyone.
